What are the
effects of a stun gun?
A
stun gun
is designed to affect the assailant's nervous system and temporarily
paralyze them. When the body is hit with a sudden electrical
shock, the brain is confused and shuts down for a short period of
time. Typically shocks are accompanied by numbness.
Amperes are the measure of the current or speed and volts are the
measure of size or intensity. Stun guns are safe because they
have low amperage and high voltage.
-
A 1/4
second contact will repel and startle the attacker, giving intense
pain and muscle contraction.
-
1 or 2
seconds will cause intense pain, muscle spasms and a dazed mental
state, this may also drop the attacker to the ground.
-
Over 3
seconds will cause intense pain, loss of balance, loss of muscle
control, mental confusion and disorientation. Generally any
charge over three seconds will cause the aggressor to fall to the
ground. The aggressor will be unable to recover for several
minutes and effects may last for up to fifteen minutes.
Can
Stun Guns be fired multiple times?
Yes. Stun Guns
are designed to be used numerous times.
Are
there any permanent effects of stun guns?
Stun Guns are
non-lethal products and are designed not to cause any long term
damage. Although there may be secondary factors of someone
being shocked and falling to the ground and having secondarily
related injuries.
Will
I be shocked if the attacker touches me?
No! If the
aggressor physically touches you when you zap them with a stun gun,
you will not suffer any chargeback. The shock will stay in them.
Will
a stun gun work through clothing? Yes!
Stun guns are designed to be 100% effective through typical clothes.
What
is the difference between a taser and a stun gun?
A stun
gun delivers voltage directly to the assailant. In other words you
have to be in contact with the assailant. The tazer is shot from a
device and you can be up to 15 feet away from the attacker. A
taser delivers voltage to the assailant through small barbs that
lodge into the skin. The shock travels through the taser gun to the
electrodes in each barb.
What is a DVR
/ USB converter and do I need one?
If
you purchase a wireless hidden
camera and you want to connect it to your PC or laptop you need
one of these. They connect from the received with the RCA connection
and convert the signal to digital to be put into your computer thru
your USB connection.
How do hidden cameras work?
A
small camera is built into an everyday item. The camera can be
wired which means it is connected to the DVR or VCR using a cable.
The camera can also be wireless, in this case the camera transmits a
signal to the receiver that is connected to the DVR or VCR.
Do
you need a VCR or DVR to record or will the camera record?
You
must have a VCR or DVR if you want to record.
What
is the difference between a wired and wireless camera?
Wired
cameras have a video cable that runs from the camera to the recording
or viewing device such as a DVR, VCR or monitor. Wireless cameras
have a built-in transmitter that sends the video signal to the
receiver. The receiver connects to your recording or viewing
device.
How far can a wireless
hidden camera transmit?
Standard
wireless hidden cameras can transmit up to 1,000 feet and
high-powered wireless hidden cameras can transmit up to 2,000 feet.
are safe because they have low amperage and high voltage. A stun gun is
designed to affect the bodies nervous system. When the body is hit
with a sudden electrical shock, the body and brain are temporarily bewildered.
Typically shocks are accompanied by numbness in the area of the stun. This
lasts about 15 min but can last up to an hour. Amperes are the measure of

ñ A stun of less than a second will startle the attacker and
cause a sharp pain.
ñ A stun of 1 or 2 seconds will cause greater pain and the
muscels to spasm. This can also put the assailiant to the ground.
ñ Over 3 seconds will cause significant pain, and will more than
likely put the attacker to the ground. It can also cause mental confusion
and disorientation. Generally any charge over three seconds will cause the
aggressor to fall to the ground. The aggressor will be unable to recover for
several minutes and effects may last for up to fifteen minutes.
ñ If you follow your first stun
immediately with a second to the groin the the aggressor could be out for
longer the fifteen minutes
